Blood Psalms has made Moon Valley Studios their home for the last 7 months! Moon Valley Studios wishes Yellowbone Entertainment team all the best as they prepare to introduce the series to audiences in Africa and across the globe!

[Press] “A new era of African storytelling has been ushered in, thanks to a
groundbreaking co-production deal struck between global broadcasting TV
operator CANAL+ and Africa’s number one video entertainment company
MultiChoice Group (MCG).

Award-winning creative duo LaylaSwart and Jahmil X.T Qubeka are the brains behind the series. The team,
as producers and co-owners of Yellowbone Entertainment, bring Blood
Psalms to life after the successful big screen premiere of their hit
boxing movie Knuckle City earlier this year. Blood Psalms enlists the
cream of the crop in local talent to tell a story that explores and
preserves Africa’s rich heritage.

In June the Young
Filmmakers Crew took over Moon Valley Studios for a month, during which the
entire property was re-imagined into a number of futuristic science fiction
spaces for the series of short films produced by Natives At Large Productions
with the support of the DTI, the Gauteng Film Commission and the NFVF. Green
screens, multiple set-ups and whacky story-lines were brought to life by the
highly energised crews who hustled to make their story-telling
dreams come true.

This is the future, and its happening now.

KEEPING SCORE is all about playing the game of love with no rules whatsoever.’

The action-packed series, set in all-African Sports Academy, takes viewers deep into the sullied heart of the sports industry. Fireworx Media recently shot 80% of their 156 episode SABC telenovela, Keeping Score, at MOON VALLEY STUDIO’s using the site as their production base. The production team streamlined their budget by making use of the multiple locations available on the property and in the area.

Watch KEEPING SCORE on SABC2 on Mondays and Tuesdays at 21h30.
